The Waterloo East Boys’ Basketball program is working towards its season opener with new travel team sweats.  DeVelle Rambus, senior on the East Waterloo Boys’ Basketball Team speaks for his team members: “I think it’s important that we have travel team sweats so that me and my teammates can look and feel good and also play as a team.”  East Waterloo Alumni Mayor Quentin Hart initiated a fundraiser to support the team’s effort.

Waterloo Schools purchased new basketball uniforms for the team, but players and coaches are asking for the community’s financial support through Friday, November 20.  Donations of $10, $20, $50 or $100 are being accepted on the Foundation’s website at:  https://www.wloocommunityfoundation.org/donate-2-2/.  Chose “Believe Waterloo”.  Donations may also be mailed directly to the Foundation.  For more information, contact Coach Brent Carmichael at carmichaelb@waterlooschools.org or 319-433-2400.
