The Waterloo Community Foundation announces that applications are now being accepted for the Quest Scholarship, a $1,000 award given to a Waterloo School district senior pursuing a post-secondary degree in the fields of education or science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). Application forms are available at Counseling Offices at each high school counseling office and are due on Friday, March 15. Bailey Dutcher, a West High graduate, received the first Quest award in 2018.
Michael and Barbara Henning, Waterloo residents and community volunteers, initiated this scholarship to reflect their commitment to education and youth. “We believe education is the key to success of our community’s youth. This is one way we can make a difference.” In addition to initiating this scholarship program, the Henning family is a founding member of the Waterloo Community Foundation.
