Waterloo Community Foundation Announces “Windows on Waterloo” Presentation with Joy Briscoe and Sharina Sallis

Join us Wednesday, February 2 at 11 AM as we hear from Joy Briscoe and Sharina Sallis about the 1619 Freedom School and 24/7 Black Leadership Advancement Consortium (BLAC).

With different approaches, both organizations are offering unique programs to encourage, empower, and advance Black leadership in our community.

The 1619 Freedom School is providing a free community-based, after-school literacy program where students are developing a love for reading through liberating instruction centered on Black American history.

24/7 BLAC is offering programs to inspire personal and professional development, stimulate the creation of wealth, and build networks of influence for Black Professionals.

During our webinar we will learn more about each organization and how our community can get involved. For more information, visit their websites at 1619freedomschool.org and twentyfoursevenblac.com.
