Waterloo Community Foundation Announces “Windows on Waterloo” Presentation with EMBARC

Join us Wednesday, Jan 5 at 11 AM as we hear from EMBARC!

The Ethnic Minorities of Burma Advocacy and Resource Center (EMBARC) was originally founded in 2012 to help new refugees from Burma successfully settle in Iowa. They have since expanded their reach to empower other newly arriving refugee groups.

They are Iowa’s first and only refugee-led service provider and they formed to provide support from refugees and for refugees through advocacy, education and community development.

During our webinar, we will learn about the services they provide to refugee families in Waterloo and, specifically, about their programs for youth.

You can visit their website at www.embarciowa.org. Email info@wloocommunityfoundation.org to receive the link for this webinar.
